Yamiko Marama

Yamiko Marama is a writer, therapist and food truck owner from Naarm, Melbourne. Yamiko is an inaugural recipient of The Wheeler Centre’s Next Chapter Fellowship and is a contributor to Growing Up Queer in Australia, as well as the Emerging Writers Festival’s Vignettes series podcast. Most recently Yamiko was the overall winner of the Lord Mayor Creative Writing Award 2020 for her non-fiction piece ‘Thirty- Six Hours a Year’.
