Michael Chan

My name is Michael Chan, I’m 37 years old and live in Geelong. Besides working within the hospitality industry, I kept myself active in connection within the community setting such as attending community choirs, being part of disability advisory committees, and I even got into acting (Film/TV), theatre and performing arts with Back to Back Theatre.

I got involved in storytelling and creative writing as I recently completed the ‘My Story’ project through the City of Greater Geelong which I wrote my personal story entails the challenges and/or barriers of living my own world brought by my diagnosis of High-functioning Autism.
