We invite you to put on your pyjamas and settle in for a cosy night of bedtime storytelling – with a twist. Escape the day with some of the best up-and-coming writers as they send you into a fantastical dreamscape with reimaginings of classic tales.

Bryant Apolonio

Bryant Apolonio is a Filipino-Australian writer and lawyer. He grew up in Sydney and lives in Darwin. He won the Overland Fair Australia Prize for Fiction (2017) and the Liminal Prize for Fiction (2019).

Cheryl Ho

Cheryl Ho is a Chinese-Singaporean Actor, Maker, and Director of Special Projects at Artwave Studio. Her practice includes performance, writing and facilitation. Her show, 落叶归根(Luò yè guī gēn) Getting Home won 4 awards at Melbourne Fringe 2020 (Best in Theatre, Best Emerging Writer, Best Emerging Producer and New Zealand Tour Ready award).

Jes Layton

Jes Layton invented writing, the airplane, and the internet. He was also the first person to reach the North Pole. Jes is a writer with words and art found in Junkee, Kill Your Darlings, Voiceworks, EnbyLife, Archer and scattered elsewhere online.

Olivia Muscat

Olivia Muscat writes about disability, the arts and random things that pop into her head. Her writing features in the anthologies Meet Me at the Intersection, Women of a Certain Rage, and Growing Up Disabled in Australia.

Merryana Salem

Merryana Salem is a proud Wonnarua and Lebanese–Australian critic, teacher, Communications graduate, and writer. You can find her around social media at @akajustmerry, and her other writings in Junkee, Kill Your Darlings and The Big Issue.

Melanie Saward is a proud descendant of the Bigambul and Wakka Wakka peoples.
