When we write the body, what are we examining of the world around us? When we scrutinise the food we eat, what are we saying of ourselves? In this workshop, learn what it means to write about food and the body and how they each intertwine with memory and story.

Sam van Zweden is a Melbourne-based writer interested in memory, food, mental health and the body. Her writing has been published by The Saturday Paper, ABC Life, Meanjin, The Big Issue, The Lifted Brow, Cordite, The Sydney Review of Books, The Wheeler Centre and others.
In this limited capacity workshop, award-winning poet Evelyn Araluen will impart her wisdom and insights about the craft of writing poetry.
In this workshop find out how writing for games is different from traditional writing, including the role of characterisation and world-building in game storytelling.
This workshop, led by award-winning short story writer Alice Bishop, will delve into what makes short stories compelling and what separates them from other forms of writing.
