The Emerging Writers’ Festival acknowledges the traditional custodians of the land on which we live, learn and work, and pays respect to their Elders past and present, and to all Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples.

EWF celebrates the history and contemporary creativity of the world’s oldest living culture.

Get Involved

Supporting the Emerging Writers’ Festival is your chance to transform the emerging writers of today into tomorrow’s literary stars.

There are a variety of ways to get involved with the EWF.

As EWF is a non-profit organisation, donations are a major way to support the work we do. Help foster a vibrant and robust Australian literary culture by donating here!

For all other support and volunteer opportunities to be announced throughout the year, be sure to stay informed by signing up for our e-newsletter and keep an eye on our blog.

Creative Producers

As Artshub wrote of the Emerging Writers’ Festival: "If you’re an up-and-coming writer, this is the place to get your foot in the door… as you’ll make invaluable connections within Melbourne’s thriving emerging literary scene."

We couldn’t agree more and our interns have used the Creative Producer role as an incredible launching pad. Applications have now closed for EWF 2016 Creative Producers, but watch this space for future opportunities!

Volunteers

Do you want to be an active part of delivering EWF 2016? Are you good at answering questions? Are you a ‘people person’? Then you might just be the perfect Emerging Writers’ Festival Volunteer for our 2016 Festival. Our volunteers play a vital role in the fest’ and we couldn’t do it without them. If you’d like to help out at some of the best festival events going ‘round, meet other writers, and get an inside look at how an arts festival is run, keep an eye out for the volunteer application call out, coming soon!
